Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution?

I'm originally from China, and I completed my Master of Engineering (Chemical) at The University of Adelaide, which in 2026 will combine with The University of South Australia to become Adelaide University.

What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?

I moved as I was drawn by the city’s strong academic reputation, mild weather, balanced lifestyle, affordable living costs, and there are lots of festivals – South Australia is the festival state!

What are some of your favourite things to do in Adelaide?

Most of my after-work time has been occupied by volunteering over the past 3-4 years. Whilst I have time, I like to do sports, walk around my neighbourhood and hike, occasionally travel to McLaren ValeBarossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills to check local markets, wineries, distilleries and eateries.
