Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution?

I'm from China, and I studied a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of South Australia, which in 2026 will combine with The University of Adelaide to become Adelaide University.

What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?

Adelaide has always stood out to me as a place that offers a balanced lifestyle, with great academic opportunities, a welcoming community, and a beautiful natural environment. I was drawn to its relaxed pace, which is perfect for focusing on studies while also enjoying a high quality of life.

Adelaide is a compact city, so everything is easily accessible. You are never far from your university, public transport, cafes, or green spaces. This makes it a very convenient and enjoyable place to live and study.

It also offers a fantastic work-life balance. Whether you love outdoor activities, exploring nature, or enjoying cultural experiences, the city has so much to offer. This relaxed lifestyle makes it easier to stay focused on your studies while also having time to recharge and experience new things.

Compared to other major cities in Australia, Adelaide is more affordable in terms of living costs. This makes it an attractive option for international students looking for a great education and lifestyle without the high expenses associated with larger cities.

What are some of your favourite things to do in Adelaide?

One of my favourite things to do in Adelaide is camping with friends. We often take advantage of long weekends to explore the beautiful natural landscapes. From beaches to national parks, Adelaide offers so many stunning spots for outdoor adventures. Another passion of mine is baking. I find it to be a relaxing and creative outlet. It is a nice way to unwind after a busy week, and I love experimenting with new recipes.
