Where are you from, and what have you studied and at which institution?

I'm from Colombia, and I completed my Master of Engineering Management at Torrens University.

What motivated you to choose Adelaide over other Australian cities for your studies?

I wanted a city where I could grow both personally and professionally, and Adelaide felt like the perfect match. It's a calm, welcoming city that gave me space to focus on my studies but also explore a new culture.

What really drew me in was the balance; it's affordable, not too crowded, and full of opportunities for international students. I knew I wanted to challenge myself by studying overseas, and Adelaide offered a safe environment where I could feel at home while still being far from home.

What are some of your favourite things to do in Adelaide?

I love staying active, and Adelaide is perfect for that. I’m part of local running clubs and often join running races around the city; it’s a great way to stay fit and meet people. I also play soccer with a team, hit the gym regularly, and sometimes play basketball with friends.

What I really enjoy about Adelaide is how easy it is to have a balanced lifestyle. There are so many green spaces, beaches, and sports facilities. It motivates you to move and enjoy the outdoors. It’s not just about fitness for me; it’s also a way to connect with others and feel part of the community.
